THE ITPA BOARD
ITPA’s operations are managed by a Board of Directors. The Board consists of least three (3) and no more than eight (8) elected Directors by the Members in accordance with the ITPA Constitution.
The Board sets the direction and objectives for the organisation for the coming year, sets and tunes policy, allocates resources and delegates duties accordingly. It is responsible for the progress of the organisation towards its goals.
At the first meeting of the Board after the ITPA AGM, the Directors will elect from among their number a Chair, a Deputy Chair, a Secretary and a Treasurer (one Director may fill more than one position).
The Board will meet face-to-face at least once a year and can meet on up to four occasions during the year, depending on need. ITPA pay for all flights and expenses relating to these face-to-face meetings. Other Board meetings will be held using conferencing technology that the Board best sees fit.
Decisions are made, by and large, by the Board. Certain duties or portfolios, such as publications, conference, etc., are delegated out to individual Board members by agreement.
All persons nominating for a position on the ITPA Board must complete and be bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with ITPA and consent to character checks when accepting that nomination. This NDA Form is available from:

ITPA has an administrative officer to handle many of the day-to-day activities, and provide general support to the Board.
THE RETURNING OFFICERS
In addition to the ITPA Board, there are two non-Board positions to be elected: Returning Officer, and Assistant Returning Officer.
These positions are non-voting ones, and their sole duty is the execution and oversight of any Ballots which are held during their term.
The Returning Officer is responsible for handling any polling of the membership, including the Annual Election, and any Postal or Electronic Ballots.
The Assistant Returning Officer is responsible for assisting the Returning Officer in handling any polling of the membership, including the Annual Election and any Postal or Electronic Ballots.
These positions are a non-voting, non-contributing positions whose sole, exclusive duty is the conduct of Ballots. Thus, the holder of either of these positions cannot hold any other Director position within ITPA Board whilst occupying this office.
